This 6th edition submitting period is now open. Don’t wait, simply submit your most innovative projects now to enter the 2018 competition. You have the possibility to start submitting your project now and finalize it later. Extended deadline: You have until 05 September 2018 to submit!

Voting Process

Submission phase will be starting soon!

Nominees for each category will be shortlisted by the Efma Innovation Committee.

Efma members and non-members from financial institutions only visiting the website will vote for the 8 standard categories (excluding Global Innovator categories). To do so, they will establish a podium ranking of Gold, Silver, and Bronze, among the 6 nominees per category. A vote from an Efma member will be considered as two votes from non-member). Each vote cast by an institution for its own innovation receives 50% of the points normally attributed.

The rate will remain confidential and only banking and payment institutions will be awarded.

Voters will take into consideration the following criteria:

Originality: the uniqueness of the idea in the marketplace and its potential as a game changer

Impact: the innovation’s capacity to generate a superior, long-term competitive edge and a significant return on investment

Universality: the innovation’s adaptability across different markets and countries

For the two special categories, an Innovation Awards Committee composed of banking executives and innovation specialists from all over the world will evaluate all the nominees.

“These awards show that banks are embracing digital innovation, using it to create ‘Phygital’ distribution models, combining physical and digital channels. This both reduces the cost to serve, while also differentiating the customer experience.”
