Andreas Steininger

Head of Sales Deutsche Postbank Germany
Andreas is leading the SME business of Deutsche Postbank. He is responsible for a unit of relationship managers for SME customers, a dedicated SME call center as well as the back office and underwriting functionalities. In addition he oversees the development of the overall SME-strategy of Postbank. In total Andreas is responsible for a team of ~350 staff dealing exclusively with SME customers. In the past years Andreas managed together with his team to turn around Postbank´s SME business. Postbank´s SME business experienced an increase of profitability and achieved double digit sales growth for several years in a row. In addition, Postbank´s SME business is currently benefiting from its cautious credit risk policy during the last years. The current challenge consists of further growing the SME customer base and hence overall revenues. Before joining Deutsche Postbank in 2002 as head of corporate development, Andreas worked as a consultant with McKinsey. Andreas started his “SME-career” in 2004 as head of the then newly created SME-relationship management unit. Andreas is married and has three little kids.
