Gilles Normand has been appointed chief executive of MMA Holdings in September 2012 in replacement of Bernard Barrère. Graduated from Sciences-Po Paris and ESSEC Business School, Gilles was project manager at Cofremca (Sociovision group) from 1996 to 2000. He then worked for Crédit Agricole SA between 2000 and 2005, where he was head of the strategic department for individual market. In 2006, Gilles was appointed by Crédit Agricole SA as senior adviser for retail and distance banking at the French Banking Federation (FBF). Finally, he has been working for Covéa group since February 2008, first as MAAF Assurance director of customer relationship management and strategic marketing and, since September 2012, as the CEO of the parent company of Covéa group in the UK. Gilles is married with three children and lives in Manchester where Covéa UK headquarters are based.
