Christine Theodorovics, an Austrian national has been assigned ad interim with the role of Head of Life Austria in March 2013 where her responsibilities include all life activities of Zurich in Austria. Before that she has been acting as the Head of Business Development at the Corporate Center of Zurich Life Insurance for more than two years. In her role and as a member of the Executive Staff she has been responsible for the channel management of Independent Financial Advisors worldwide especially Latin America, North America, Italy and Spain. From 2007 until 2010 Christine has acted as Head of Business Development at Swiss Life International, the company’s Wealth Management segment. In this responsibility Christine has spent over a year in Asia, setting up a life insurance carrier in Singapore from scratch. She spent the subsequent year creating an intermediation office in the United Arab Emirates. Before that Christine has been the Operational Excellence Leader and Six Sigma Black Belt carrying out projects in Zurich and Paris for Swiss Life. Before that Christine built up and ran successfully the Quality Management Department, comprising the central complaint, customer research and management at Credit Suisse Headquarters in Zurich and has acted as a senior consultant at tns Infratest in Germany for four years, introducing customer satisfaction and employee commitment surveys in a number of companies. After her studies she has been working at the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) in Brussels. Christine is a member of the Advisory Council of the Federation of Independent Financial Advisors (FECIF) and a member of the Retail Insurance Advisory Council of the European Financial Management & Marketing Association (EFMA). She holds an MBA from the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna, Austria, a Master in Arts in European Studies and Economics from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium and the Diploma in Banking of the Swiss Finance Institute in Zurich. Christine considers herself a true global citizen, being fluent in five languages and having worked and lived in seven different countries on thee continents. In her free time she is a keen mountaineer, runner and triathlete as well as a scuba diver, photographer and world traveller.
