Tommaso Campana was born in Santarcangelo di Romagna (Rimini – Italy) and currently lives in Milan with his wife and their two boys. He moved to Milan in 1994 to attend the L. Bocconi University (Economics and Law degree). Supported by the Bocconi University, he has spent almost one year and half in Russia, following a research on the privatization program in the Russian agricultural sector. In particular, from 1999 to early 2001 he has followed the privatization process of few state farms in San Petersburg oblast’, Moscow area and Rostov-na-Danu (Northern Caucasus). Completed his studies, he joined Citifinancial, an Italian branch of Citigroup, specialized in the Consumer Finance segment. After few years in the Finance Department, he has been appointed Head of Business Planning for Retail activities of the new Citibank Italian branch. He has actively contributed to the start-up of Citi Retail Banking and Citi Credit Cards segments in Italy, until covering the position of Finance Head of Citibank Wealth Management and Credit Cards, under the CFO Italy. In 2007 he joined UniCredit, with the task of setting up the planning and controlling activities for Human Resources Division of UniCredit Group. Directly reporting to the Global Head of HR, he has spent three years in the HR Division leading and participating to several initiatives across the Group, including the Capitalia merge and several re-organizational projects. In 2010 he joined the Planning, Finance & Administration Division of UniCredit Group (Headquarter), taking over the responsibility of Group Planning Process Management and Consolidation. In this position he has dealt with all major business projects put in place in UniCredit, from the Strategic Plan 2010-2015, to the re-organization of the Commercial Divisions in Western Europe (so called GOLD project) which took place in early 2013. In his new role as Senior Manager of HR Italy, Tommaso is responsible of all the processes and projects carried on in the areas of Reward & Compensation, People Development, Change Management, and other initiatives such as Strategic Workforce Planning. He manages and runs a farming business located in Santarcangelo di Romagna (Bologna – Italy) and follows, with passion and suspense, the steps in official chess tournaments of his elder son.
