Mónica García Cristóbal

Mónica García Cristóbal has a Telecommunications Engineering degree from Universidad Politécnica of Madrid. She is currently the corporate director of Digital Business of the MAPFRE group, developing the business strategy in the digital environment for all the brands in the MAPFRE group (MAPFRE, VERTI and Insure & Go) in the world.

Since Mónica joined the MAPFRE group in 2009 she has held various positions of responsibility with a technology and digital scope, of which it is worth highlighting her duties as the Director of Digital Technology (2017-2018), as Director of the Verti Digital Area (2017), and as a Director of Strategic Planning and Innovation at MAPFRE Iberia (2015-2016) where she contributed to the strategic development and business innovation in Spain, MAPFRE's most relevant market.

Prior to her incorporation to MAPFRE, Mónica worked in Accenture, in the Technology, Internet and Insurance area in Spain for 7 years, and previously, she carried out research work in the Mobility division of Philips in Germany. She also holds a Master in Professional Insurance Management by ICEA (2018 - 2019), an executive course in Technological Innovation by MIT (2018), and various executive and managerial training programs taught by ESADE (Class of 2017 -2018), and by IE Business School and the University of Alcalá de Henares (Executive Development Program, class of 2013).
