The managers of insurance companies addressing the retail insurance market are facing an environment of rare complexity, marked by increasing regulatory constraints, a tumultuous economic context (notably linked to the low rates) exacerbated by the pandemic crisis, the accelerated development of digitalisation and the emergence of new uses of technology such as artificial intelligence.
In order to increase the intensity and frequency of peer-to-peer exchanges at the Belgium level, Efma launched the "Club of Decision Makers in Retail Insurance in Belgium" in 2021 in partnership with Roland Berger.
The aim is to address in a user-friendly way the issues that concern managers while providing them with the most up-to-date white papers. This includes distribution managers, marketing managers and directors of innovation and digital transformation. Three meetings are scheduled each year, usually hosted (physically or virtually) and chaired by one or other of the Club members. Meetings are held in English.
The members of the Club are members in a personal capacity and are asked to be replaced, in case of impediment, only by a direct collaborator, in order to preserve the homogeneity of the group.
The Club of Decision Makers in Retail Insurance in Belgium is under the joint responsibility of Philippe van Fraechem, Regional Manager Benelux at Efma, and Axel Bohlke, Partner at Roland Berger.
