A global non-for profit organisation, established in 1971 by banks and insurance companies, Efma facilitates networking between decision-makers. It provides quality insights to help banks and insurance companies make the right decisions to foster innovation and drive their transformation. Over 3,300 brands in 130 countries are Efma members.
Headquarters in Paris. Offices in London, Brussels, Andorra, Stockholm, Warsaw, Bratislava, Dubai, Milan, Montreal, Istanbul, Tokyo and Singapore.
Our purpose is to support our members and create a strong community based on expertise and skills. Our mission is to provide community intelligence to optimize, innovate and transform by recognizing our members’ best practices and connecting them.
As a French Association, Efma is headed by a “Délégué Général” (Secretary General).
At Efma, the Secretary General reports to the Board of Directors and to the Bureau (Chairmanship, Vice-President Treasurer, Vice-President).
He also heads the Association’s subsidiary (Efma Sarl) for which he is the CEO.
His responsibilities and duties are split between management and Efma representation.
Efma is looking for a dynamic well-respected business professional with exceptional leadership capabilities, well versed in the field of Finance and Insurance. An individual who is passionate about driving value add products to engage and delight their members and is able to navigate a strategic direction and make tough calls on how best to allocate budget to generate appropriate returns. The leader of this organization will be expected to increase membership and engage with partners to expand reach and drive profitability of its subsidiary while creating a culture that attracts and retains a bright, enthusiastic, dynamic workforce.


Efma management

  • Drive the Strategy of Efma by understanding and anticipating client needs
  • Retain and grow membership within Europe and drive the expansion internationally
  • Improve the visibility and usage of Efma’s services by historic members
  • Drive all activities including but not limited to;
    • Topics
    • Partners
    • Events
    • Time frame
  • Communicate and report all Efma development to the board; including but not limited to budget, strategy, risks and opportunities and forward-looking predictions.
  • Lead through adversity and navigate an appropriate course of action
  • Anticipate risk and respond accordingly
  • Heading steering committees with most Efma Associate Members
  • Prioritising development projects and devoting appropriate time and resources
  • Budget
    • Maintain /grow a healthy budget for Efma and its subsidiary,
    • Understand and communicate Risks and Opportunities
    • Preparedness for shift in market/industry
  • Staff : Build a culture that attracts, retains and engages appropriate talent to drive and grow Efma agenda

 

Efma representation

  • Meet with members and consultants in order to keep abreast of trends and hot topics
  • Visit to key Efma members when and where appropriate
  • Personally be willing to chair key events and procure expert, engaging speakers for members to learn from
  • In-house presentations at member banks
  • Presence at key Efma events
  • Participation to series of visits to prospects in regions where Efma develops its presence
  • Authoring articles in professional press − Social media (Tweets, etc.)
  • Co-signing all report prefaces with the Efma partner, and co-signing press releases when reports are launched

 

Pactical information

  • Location: Paris preferred but open to other locations for the right candidate
  • Attractive remuneration package depending on the seniority
  • Fluent English and French / third language appreciated
