EfmaLIVE: MEA Summit
Efma has transformed its flagship event held in Dubai every year into an online series of two sessions. During these two days the most pressing issues concerning the financial industry will be discussed.
Last year was a landmark as the ongoing pandemic transformed everything in the industry. Thought leaders from all around the globe will highlight the challenges this recent pandemic posed for the industry and what innovative solutions they came up with to address those challenges.
During the first session, leaders like Ahmed Issa of CIB Egypt, Amit Malhotra from CBD, Dinesh Sharma from Citi UAE, Philip King from ADIB and finally Subroto Som from Mashreq will start the day by giving their expert opinions on the situation of the market and what is their overall strategy post-Covid.
They will be followed by Deepak Sharma of Kotak Mahindra Bank, who will shed light on their digital transformation journey, how Covid impacted their business, and how they successfully created an efficient ecosystem.
Frederic de Melker from Rakbank will enlighten us on how they redefined their reach and relevance using payments as a catalyst and how successful they have been in their quest for new audiences.
During the pandemic, creating engagements digitally and creating new sales has been the biggest challenge for all the institutions globally, Halil Ozcan from TEB will tell us how they generated KPIs and sales via online engagements.
Later in the day, Ramana Kumar from FAB and David Barton-Grimley from Capgemini will also participate in the discussion and highlight how using data and technology the right way can help institutions reach new levels.
The second day will begin with a one-on-one chat between Efma’s Fahim uz Zaman and Raja Al Mazrouei from DIFC FinTech Hive. They will discuss the state of the financial industry and what opportunities lie ahead to collaborate between banking & non-banking players in the region & how partnerships can drive the industry forward.
Afterwards, Adel Hammad from PayTabs, Jocelyne Chahwan from Blom Bank and Ramzi Saboury from Areeba will discuss how necessary it is to transform customer journeys and their experiences in this digital, post-pandemic world.
Gurhan Cam from DenizBank will help us define the bank of the future by laying out how to use digital platforms to transform your physical into ‘phygital’ and highlight the importance of building skills to better shape the future.
Jenine Zachar of Standard Bank will take us on a journey of how Standard Bank helped businesses deal with the impact of Covid and engaged with their customers.
Finally, Amit Kurseja of Amazon and Syed Asif Shah of CDC Pakistan will help us understand the need to transform strategies to help customers better and what it means to employ new forms of engagement.
