mBank to host Efma’s first 2019 council meeting

The first in this year’s series of Efma councils, a unique networking service for Efma members, will take place in Lodz, Poland on 12-13 March.

mBank, the first fully Internet-based bank in Poland and one of the strongest and fastest growing financial brands in the country, is to welcome Efma council members to its head office in Lodz for their first meeting of the year this March.

From 12-13 March, the bank will host seven different council meetings: the Affluent and Private Banking Council, Operational Excellence Council, Physical Channels Council, Digital Channels Council, SME Council, Insurance Council, and the Fintech and Innovation Council.

Each council brings together an exclusive group of senior executives from leading banks and insurance companies, allowing them to collaborate, network, discuss and exchange best practices with their peers in order to stay abreast of the latest ideas and developments in the industry.

At this occasion, Efma will launch working committees in each groups in order to co-create a white paper to guide the industry eco-system to transform, set up industry transformation standards, think about a framework and provide a methodology, and collect best practices and vision of the group.

For this first edition of the year, PZU will host the insurance council members for a special meeting on 11 March at noon.

The councils are free to attend and available to Efma members only. Non-members are eligible to join the Insurance Council meeting, but must pay a fee to do so.

To date, Efma councils have gathered together more than 242 members from 39 countries. By being involved in an Efma council, members have access to a multitude of networking and knowledge sharing events, including the opportunity to attend three working sessions per year, as well as collaborative sessions, benchmarking workshops, study presentations and sessions dedicated to hot topics such as fintechs and start-ups.
