Banking innovation of the month: Konto Jakże Osobiste by Alior Bank

Innovation of the month

12 February 2018

Efma’s Innovation of the Month Award for February goes to Alior Bank for Konto Jakże Osobiste – a unique current account with the ability to match the benefits and functionalities to current customer needs in any channel and at any time.

Recognizing the need to simplify its products in order to meet the needs and expectations of customers, Alior Bank has introduced a new current account called Konto Jakże Osobiste.

Konto Jakże Osobiste is a personalized bank account that allows holders to choose from a range of benefits to suit their individual preferences. Example benefits include: free withdrawals from ATMs in Poland and abroad (in both cases, the benefits include all cards issued to the account); a package of free instant transfers (up to five a month); a higher interest rate on the savings account; or an interest-free overdraft for ten days.

These benefits can be easily changed through the bank’s new online banking platform, the new mobile application or at any Alior branch. The selected benefits will be active within 24 hours.

The list of benefits was developed jointly with customers during quantitative and qualitative research, within which 30 different features and functionalities related to personal accounts were verified and those identified as most attractive were selected.

Konto Jakże Osobiste will be automatically selected as a nominee for the Efma-Accenture DMI Awards 2018. Submit your innovations on the Efma Accenture DMI portal. 5 March is the deadline for March Innovation of the Month. Participation is free of charge and open to all financial institutions but Innovation of the month is reserved for Efma members.
