Deloitte and Efma launch report on Central Europe banking sector 26 October 2016

New release aims to identify key drivers of profitability and balance sheet growth.

A new report from Deloitte and Efma launched today examines the outlook for the banking sector in the central European region.

CE Banking Outlook: Winning the Digital Arms Race examines what the prospects are in terms of performance, consolidation and digitisation within the banking sector in Central European.

The report seeks to identify key drivers of profitability and balance sheet growth over the next three years, while also examining competition in each market.

Topics covered include the advantages of scale and trends in merger and acquisition activity, and the digital development of banks.

The report also offers in-depth analysis of the banking sector in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. A three-year forecast is also included, as is analysis of the top ten banks in each nation.

A webinar event will be held on 17 November to discuss the topics and trends identified in the report, with contributions from Grzegorz Cimochowski and Daniel Majewski from Deloitte Polska, and Lubomir Olach from Efma.
