The potential in growth and profitability in the senior market is well known across Europe and the Atlantic. However banks and financial service companies are still far from fully exploiting it.
To achieve this, both products and services adapted to this target population including outside the purely financial sphere (leisure offers, Internet training sessions, welfare type services…) must be created, developed and communicated effectively.
The main obstacle : avoid limiting, caricaturing and even ghettoising this population whose profile is vague and difficult to define. Does one become a senior at fifty, sixty or on retirement?
