Local meetings
Efma is convinced of the usefulness of meetings and debates between professionals from the financial services sector. However, it is not always possible for them to participate in major international conferences, because of time or budgetary constraints. That is why Efma has taken the initiative of organising local meetings for bankers and insurers throughout Europe.
Local meetings are organised in all European capitals, from Oslo to Lisbon and from Dublin to Moscow, without forgetting Istanbul and Zagreb. These meetings are reserved for representatives of local financial institutions. More often than not they are organised around the presentation of a recently published report or survey. However, they can also take the form of meetings lasting half a day or longer, if necessary, with a series of presentations of surveys and roundtables with local stakeholders.
In 2009, 2600 people participated in the 60 local meetings organised by Efma.
