What Council members say “There is no other event than the EFMA Retail Banking Council, which gives me the opportunity to share ideas with all major key players within the European Banking industry. To get the different views of such a exceptional circle of professionals is really an invaluable experience." “ Microsoft is delighted to be associated with the Efma Retail Banking Advisory Council. This partnership with Efma, which is now in its fifth year, has provided Microsoft with significant benefits in terms of developing a shared vision with Efma members on driving innovation in European retail delivery." “Being a member of the Efma Retail Banking Advisory Council not only provides the opportunity to follow the latest worldwide developments in the retail banking sector closely, but also the chance to deliberate our local implementations with council members each of whom have various vision and experience.” “It has given me a big insight and inspiration to meet with colleagues from other European banks who face the same challenges as we do. In a very open and sharing environment we are able to share ideas, experiences and challenges in the business. I also enjoy the visit in the host bank where we get the opportunity to get a view and closer look at the how they are doing and meet the customers. I find the Efma Advisory Council very valuable.” “The EFMA Retail Banking Advisory Council gives me quarterly the opportunity to meet for a day with interesting colleagues from all over Europe who have similar responsibilities in other banks to compare and discuss different approaches of all aspects of channel management. It also often includes an opportunity to view first hand the latest channel developments at the host bank. This all at a time when our industry is changing fast. Therefore I find it invaluable." “In the past one year, participation to the Efma Retail Banking Advisory Council was a milestone, allowing a regular touch-base with fellow colleagues from all over the EU, and beyond, on the latest developments in our challenging and fast-evolving domain. The Council provides a unique opportunity for hands-on discussions with strategic context: a profitable way to confront our actions and ideas and strengthen the effectiveness of our actions on the market.” "The Efma Advisory Council provides great added value, both in terms of its diversity and through the representation of the banking sector’s stakeholders. Given the recent challenges our sector has faced, the turbulent times we are going through and the lessons we have learned, the Advisory Council is a superb medium to draw tomorrow’s banking landscape." “ At a time when our industry is going through such fundamental change the advisory council is an excellent way of keeping in touch with both strategic and operational developments in the customer and channel space." “The Retail Insurance Advisory Council is a very effective platform, to share ideas and experiences about the European retail insurance industry cross border and get within one day a lot of “state of the art” practical solution and strategies that the companies have implemented to face the new challenges of the market. The first meeting was great: very interesting agenda, frank an open discussion, good time management.” “The Retail Banking Council is a platform which gives me the opportunity to meet a select group of executives in an informal way, guided by EFMA. This peer-to-peer contact gives me insight in the actual challenges retail banks are facing on topics like multichannel delivering financial products and services. Most valuable are the informal and open contacts between council members and the quality of the debates.” “Meeting people committed to innovate in our industry – or simply do better – sharing, building a network, getting feedbacks on your ideas and project. In my opinion there’s no chance to gain all these things together if not in the Efma advisory council.”
