Risk management roundtable
Efma organises in conjunction with Edgar, Dunn and Company (EDC) roundtables on European Risk Management (ERMRT). This initiative is intended to provide an opportunity for banks and other financial institutions to discuss key trends, market observations, and industry best practices. . It also offers a forum to network with top industry executives, share ideas, and exchange perspectives on core risk management activities and related operational and regulatory issues.
The inaugural European Risk Management Roundtable was held on January 31, 2007 in Paris and was attended by risk management executives from all across Europe.
The third European Risk Management roundtable was held in Vienna on Thursday 25 September, 2008.
The event is at no charge to EFMA members. From 2009, the Roundtables will be organised on a membership basis requiring a subscription fee
Overall participant feedback from the first two events indicated that the roundtable concept was very positively received and there was general agreement on the continuation of the programme on a regular basis.

Additionally, the forum may also decide on developing and communicating perspectives on relevant regulatory matters to the European Commission and other authorities (Sidley Austen LLP will present and lead discussion in this session)
