Think tanks
An Efma Think Tank is a group of about 20 banking and insurance executives gathered by Efma for a brainstorming session on a specific issue. The group is asked to attend from four to six online, one-hour meetings via videoconference.
On every occasion a think tank is linked to a research project and is sponsored by an Efma associate member who is responsible for feeding all meetings with appropriate content and for moderating them. He is also responsible for producing the report based on the think tank works.

What Efma Think Tank members say
“It's a tremendous opportunity for me to be in such a group of peers with a tight schedule and a robust agenda."
Tobbias Schloemer, Director, Global Marketing & Communications, Deutsche Bank
“In just five online meetings over a quarter, we are supposed to all come to a series of conclusions that Efma will help us formalise and disseminate. This is a really good initiative!"
João Mello Franco, Head of Marketing de Particulares, Banco Espírito Santo
“Brainstorming with colleagues and peers from abroad, who are not direct competitors, is something that ideally happens online and under the neutral umbrella of an Association such as Efma."
Franciska Decuypere, Director Marketing, Communication and Distribution Channels, BNP Paribas Fortis
“The good thing about these Efma Think Tanks is that they do not take me too much time and at the same time allow me to digest a lot of new content. I hope my contribution to the Group is as valuable as what I am getting from other members!”
Benjamí Puigdevall Esteve, Chief Executive Officer, e-La Caixa
“The idea of having one sponsor in charge of feeding us with content is key in the success of these online brainstorming sessions. This allows us to go straight to the point."
David Schick, Head of Sales, Distribution and Service, Raiffeisen Bank International
